Fire Research Corporation (FRC) was founded in 1968 by Jack McLoughlin.
As an active volunteer firefighter, Jack recognized there was need to improve and
modernize the equipment used in the fire service industry. Putting his experience
as a design engineer to work, he began to look for elegant and ingenious
solutions to the unique problems faced by fire service and rescue professionals.
Jack stepped down from the role of President in 2013 to continue on at FRC doing
what he likes best, inventing and engineering.
Toh Meng* joined FRC as an electrical engineer in 1982. Helping to design
many of the electronic products for which FRC is now famous, he quickly became a valued
member of the management team. Over the years Toh assumed more responsibilities over
product marketing and production as well as continuing in his role as senior electrical
designer and the main "go-to" guy for any sticky electronic problem. Toh is well known
and respected in the fire industry and we're proud to announce that he has
assumed the role of President of FRC in 2013.
Neocles Athanasiades* joined FRC in 1977 as a mechanical engineer. His elegant and
functional mechanical designs are at the core of all of FRC's products from our
earliest fire industry successes to the most recent. Also well known in the industry,
we're lucky that he has decided to continue in his role as Vice President.
