Fire Research Corporation manufactures high intensity scene lighting with five styles of lampheads. Each lamphead is available with multiple mounting styles and a verity of options for vehicle or portable use. Brief descriptions are provided on this page.

OPTIMUM
The OPA lampheads are designed to be super-efficient and provide a maximum transfer of light from the bulb to the scene.

having been used on emergency apparatus for many years.

Telescopic Poles - FRC manufactures telescopic poles that may be mounted to the wall of a vehicle, passed through the cab roof or down into a pump compartment. The poles accept all three lampheads described above.

Twist Lock All telescopic poles have the FRC patented safety Twist Lock This unique locking ring operates from either direction and is simple to use, even with a gloved hand!
  • It cannot jam or be over tightened.
  • There is no protruding handle to snag gear or straps on.
  • A knurled surface ensures a positive grip.
  • The locking mechanism has no metal to metal contact, this spares the anodized aluminum poles from unnecessary wear and tear.
Tripod Stand Tripods - The finest lighting stand in the industry. The FRC tripod is designed and constructed to be rugged and durable. It is easy to set up, sturdy, and truck mountable. It is compatible with most FRC lampheads and applicable scene lighting options.
BrytteDay
The BrytteDay portable scene lighting system matches the tripod with an Optimum lamphead and the Portable Power Pack.
Alternate Mounts - Top and side rotatable non-telescopic mounts, under aerial brackets, flush (into-a-wall) mount castings, removable lamphead brackets, and portable ground lights are some of the alternate mounts available for FRC lampheads. Brow Light Brow Light Brow Light
Brow Mounts - The FRC contour, universal, and flat Brow mounts are available with FOCUS or OPTIMUM lampheads. The brow contour mounting brackets are custom machined to match the cab roof edge. The universal mount is designed to fit any roof line. The flat roof mounting brackets provide for an extremely low profile when matched with a FOCUS lamphead.
Scene Lighting Options
- Mechanical options available include:
Custom Length Poles, Multiple Mounting Brackets and Lower Steady Rests, Wire Brush Guards, the No-Scratch Guide, and No-Scratch Bumpers for Focus Lampheads.
- Electrical options available include:
On/Off Switch, Raised Pole Hazard Switches and Warning Lights, Power Cord Exits at Top of Pole, and AC Plugs. Click on the Scene Light Options link for more information and details.
