Telescopic Poles General
This page provides specific details on FRC telescopic poles and the options available.

All FRC Telescopic Poles:
  • Are made of anodized aluminum.
  • Have extension poles that rotate a full 360°.
  • Have a four foot retractile cord extending from the bottom for direct wiring.
  • Have the exclusive safety twist lock to secure the extension pole in position.
  • Have a standard length of 58" not including the lamphead.
510 Pole Model 510 Telescopic Pole

Top Mount, Pull Up

  • A 3.25" round mounting flange is standard on the 510 pole.
  • A 2.5" square flange is available on the 510C pole.
  • The standard outer tube is length 11.5" and allows the lamphead to raise 43".
Options on this model pole include:
  • -CL (Custom Length Pole)
  • -SW (Raised Pole Switch and Indicator)
  • -TW (Wire Out of the Top of the Pole)

Model 510E pole is available with a square flange and is designed to be mounted into a 3" extrusion.
512 Pole Model 512 Telescopic Pole

Thru-the-Roof, Push Up

  • A round, "no drip" mounting flange is provided.
  • The standard outer tube is length 12" and allows the lamphead to raise 39".
  • At the bottom of the extension pole is a knurled aluminum push up handle.
Options on this model pole include:
  • -CL (Custom Length Pole)
  • -SW (Raised Pole Switch and Indicator)
  • -SR (Steady Rest Bottom Bracket)
  • -TW (Wire Out of the Top of the Pole)

This pole is designed with a weather proof 'No-Drip' mounting flange so it can be mounted on the roof and operated from inside of the vehicle.
530 Pole Model 530 Telescopic Pole

Side Mount, Push Up

  • Two standard side mount brackets are provided:
  • 2.75" offset with Optimum lamphead;
    3.5" offset with Focus lampheads;
    5" offset with Optimum HID lampheads.
  • The outer tube is grooved aluminum extrusion and qualifies as an NFPA compliant handrail.
  • The standard outer tube is length 20" and allows the lamphead to raise 30", choosing an optional 10" outer tube allows for a 40" extension.
  • At the bottom of the extension pole is a knurled aluminum push up handle.

540 Pole Model 540 Telescopic Pole

Side Mount, Pull Up

  • Two standard side mount brackets are provided:
  • 2.75" offset with Optimum lamphead;
    3.5" offset with Focus lampheads;
    5" offset with Optimum HID lampheads.
  • The outer tube is grooved aluminum extrusion and qualifies as an NFPA compliant handrail.
  • The standard outer tube is length 53.5" and allows the lamphead to raise 39".
  • An internal brake slows the extension pole during lowering.

542 Pole Model 542 Telescopic Pole

Side Mount, Pull Up

  • Two standard side mount brackets are provided:
  • 2.75" offset with Optimum lamphead;
    3.5" offset with Focus lampheads;
    5" offset with Optimum HID lampheads.
  • The outer tube is grooved aluminum extrusion and qualifies as an NFPA compliant handrail.
  • The standard outer tube is 20" and allows the lamphead to raise 33", choosing an optional 10" outer tube allows for a 43" extension.

Side Mount Telescopic Pole Brackets

There are four mounting brackets available to secure side mount telescopic poles onto the vehicle. Beware that the lamphead dimensions and location of the pole may dictate restrictions on the brackets that can be used.
